love.golfers brave elements in first event of its kind

A fearless group of young women braved the (not so) great British summer earlier this month in an event jointly hosted by love.golf and Outdoor Adventure Girls (OAG).

OAG are an outdoor community providing safe and inclusive environments for women to reconnect with nature and the outdoors, connect with other women and challenge the lack of representation of women in the male-dominated space.

Horsley Lodge in Derbyshire played host for the experience, with love.golf coach Paul Hebdon making sure the group had an unforgettable time out on the golf course.

Speaking afterwards, love.golfer Kelly Hargreaves-Cox said: “I expected to meet new people, understand golf a little more and I hoped I’d be able to hit the ball and learn how to do this. The reality matched up.

“I liked teaming up with others and cheering each other on. The love.golf team was really supportive of our skills and celebrated even small successes.”

As the group dried off, they were treated to some refreshing mocktails, the opportunity to chat and network, plus a love.golf goodie bag to take home with them.

A big love.golf thank you goes to Sophie and the OAG team, plus My Urban Trail and Balmy Fox for supporting the goodie bags for attendees on the day.
