Women of west kilbride set sail for first ever love.golf booze cruise

The love.golfers of West Kilbride GC, Scotland, recently set sail to the Isle of Arran for the first ever (and most certainly not the last) love.golf booze cruise.

Fuelled by prosecco and excitement, the 7-strong group, accompanied by their coach Linzi Allan, took the short ferry ride over from Ardrossan on the mainland to Brodick on the Isle of Arran. Wasting no time once they disembarked, the group enjoyed lunch in the clubhouse and then headed onto the course at Brodick Golf Club to continue the festivities.

The women hit fantastic shots off the first tee, and the high standard of golf continued throughout the 10-hole Texas Scramble competition.

Eventual scores were very close, with only one shot separating the teams. On the ferry back to the mainland, the winning team were presented with a coveted sleeve of Callaway love.golf balls each!

Since the trip, friendships have continued to develop. The women have been playing together and regularly keep in touch to arrange their games through WhatsApp.

Reflecting on the experience, coach Linzi Allan said: “I had an absolute blast with all the women who came along. We didn’t stop laughing from the moment we boarded the ferry until the time we got back.”

“I’d really like to thank Brodick Golf Club for their hospitality on the day. I can safely say it won’t be our last love.golf booze cruise!”

Linzi is based at West Kilbride Golf Club on the West Coast of Scotland. If you’d like to be part of Linzi’s love.golf experiences take a look at her coach page for more information.
