Harlequins Women enjoy love.golf session

Harlequins Women swapped rugby balls and posts for clubs and flags when they enjoyed a love.golf session at Reigate Hill Golf Club.

Quins scrum-half Lucy Packer is a keen golfer and took eight of her team-mates along for the group coaching experience, led by love.golf coach Molly Moore.

“I wanted some golf friends, so it was nice to get all the girls together for this session,” said 24-year-old Packer, who has 16 caps for England.

Her Red Roses team-mate Emily Robinson said of her first time swinging a club: “I’ve not played golf before but this experience made it very welcoming and easy.”

“It was so much fun,” added Australia international Kaitlan Leaney. “It was great to come out with a group of mates and enjoy the sunshine. I loved it.”

love.golf is proving popular with rugby players after England international Abbie Ward took part in a Barbie-themed influencer event at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club before returning for another session with some of her Bristol Bears team-mates.
