We’re so lucky in the UK that there’s so much choice when it comes to taking a golf staycation, but it can make it difficult to know where to start. We’ve put together some of our favourites here to give you some ideas for your next trip with the girls.

Carden Park’s 1000-acre estate is the ultimate expression of escapism and just a stone’s throw from the city of Chester. The resort boasts two golf courses and The Spa at Carden was named ‘Britain’s Best New Spa’ by The Good Spa Guide in 2020. This newly built sanctuary grounded in nature is designed ignite the senses and you won’t want to miss the outdoor hot tubs and Bollinger garden bar!

The home of TOWIE isn’t all fake tan and glitter! It’s one of our favourite spots for a golf break. Situated less than an hour from London, you’ll also have the opportunity to head into the city for shopping, theatre and more.
Stoke by Nayland
This hidden gem is Idyllically located in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Essex/Suffolk border. The golf courses at Stoke by Nayland are named after two local famous artists, Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable and the venue has hosted the Ladies European Tour Access Series in recent years.
Choose from a hotel room or Denise Van Outen’s choice – a quirky lodge – when booking your stay and take your pick from a number of restaurants and bars on site.
Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club
Situated just outside of Essex, in Hertfordshire, Hanbury Manor is a favourite amongst TV stars like Celebs Go Dating’s expert Anna Williamson and Dancing on Ice’s Alex Murphy. The manor house and golf course are situated amongst 200 acres of stunning natural beauty and when you add on its on-site spa, pool and the chance to enjoy the English tradition of afternoon tea or a cocktail in the beautiful baronial Oak Hall, you might not fancy leaving at all!
Scotland
With a legacy that spans six centuries, there is no finer place to play a round of golf than the country that gave the game to the world – Scotland. The first record of golf in Scotland dates from the 15th century when it was known as ‘gowf’ and it’s now somewhere you can find courses like nowhere else in the world.
Gleneagles
Home to the 2019 Solheim Cup and well-known as a luxurious escape for friends as well as a home from home, Gleneagles in Perth is the perfect Scottish staycation. With three golf courses and a restaurant with two Michelin stars if you’re feeling a little fancy, it has everything you’d want for a minibreak with the girls.
