Coaches #daretobedifferent and plan ahead for biggest ever year of love.golf

New faces, fresh ideas, an international flavour and a stunning city backdrop were the order of the day for this year’s love.golf coaches conference.

Coming together in London’s hip and stylish east end for two days of shared learning, insights and brainstorming bound together by the theme #daretobedifferent, the community of love.golf coaches heard from experts in marketing, communications and social media as well as guest speaker Sue Shapcott, who flew in from the United States especially for the event.

The strength of the coach community

Throughout the conference, coaches were presented with a number of scenarios which challenged them to think differently, develop innovative ideas and work together to reach solutions – demonstrating the power and value in assembling a group of like-minded, progressive coaches.

Among the attendees were PGA Professionals Maria Elvira and Yusecct Paz, who coach love.golf in Spain and Andorra respectively, and took time to share their experiences and progress since the initiative launched in those countries earlier this year.

Thriving friendships

Of course, it wasn’t all about the education. During the downtime coaches had the chance to spend time together, play a game or two of table tennis, enjoy the limitless supply of Pick ‘N’ Mix on offer (thanks Wallacespace!) and socialise over dinner and drinks.

By the close of the conference, the coaches were fully loaded with ideas and plans to take into 2020. Judging by what they came up with in such a short space of time in London, we’re sure they are going to make a BIG impact up and down the country (and overseas too!).

Before we go, some thank you’s…

To all the coaches who came along – we hope you had fun and feel energised and ready for 2020!

To everyone who presented – especially Sue Shapcott, Hannah Crump and Jo Taylor who were all fantastic!

And to all our hosts in London who truly showed us the best of what the city has to offer!
